Routes code-search requests by classifying each question as one about meaning, code shape, or exact text, then sends meaning questions to LEANN embedding search over a local index, shape questions to ast-grep structural patterns with metavariables and a preview-then-approve rewrite flow, and text questions to Morph hosted search when an API key and user consent exist, while the built-in Grep tool serves quick literal lookups and stands in whenever a richer backend is missing. Also covers the pre-tool hook that reroutes conceptually worded Grep queries to the index, and the confirmations required before applied rewrites, hosted searches, and force-flagged index rebuilds.
