effect-time-observability
Guides writing Effect TypeScript that measures elapsed time with the Clock service, builds unit-carrying Duration values for waits and expiry budgets, wraps outward calls in timeout effects, marks critical sections with tracing spans, records structured events with the Effect log effects, and fixes one application-wide minimum log level through a Logger layer. Use when the user asks to time a step, add pauses or deadline limits, name spans or attach span attributes, replace ad-hoc console prints, or choose which severities are emitted, in a project that already depends on Effect, including brand-new files in such a project. Not for plain JavaScript or Node timers, non-Effect logging or tracing stacks, retry policy design, or repositories with no Effect dependency.
