manuscript-referee-report

Reviews an academic manuscript supplied as .tex, .pdf, .qmd, or .md the way a demanding journal referee would. Examines the research question and argument logic, identification and causal claims, econometric specification, positioning in prior literature, prose clarity, and table and figure quality, then writes a structured report with strengths, ranked concerns, anticipated referee objections, and 1-to-5 scores per dimension. Use when the user asks to review, referee, critique, or pre-check a paper, draft, or working manuscript before journal submission. Not for grading student essays, for line-editing or rewriting the manuscript, or for producing new research content or running statistical analyses.
