primer

Primes an agent for repository work through bounded, fail-closed orientation. It reads an append-only continuity ledger at .primer/STATE.md first, after verifying every path component, computes a verified git delta against the last recorded head, inspects a bounded set of manifests, README, and entry files, and reports purpose, stack, structure, entry points, dev loop with documented or observed required configuration names and prerequisites, current work, changes, open work, drift among inspected files, documented constraints, and up to five ranked next actions with signal, effort, and impact. It appends a strictly delimited JSON checkpoint to the ledger under a cooperative lock, preserving all prior bytes and owner notes. Offers Quick, Standard, and Deep depths with inheritance from the last full checkpoint. Writes only under user-authorized priming; otherwise operates read-only. Use when starting or resuming repository tasks, or when asked to prime, catch up, or decide what is next.
