Breaks a multi-worksheet Excel workbook (.xlsx or .xlsm) into standalone files, one per tab, by saving each original sheet object inside its own one-tab workbook so values, formulas, fonts, fills, borders, number formats, column widths, row heights and merged ranges stay with the tab; xlsm sources keep their VBA project and are re-saved as xlsm. Use when the user wants per-tab files from a combined workbook, needs to hand out individual tabs, or wants copies of sheets for separate handling. Not for merging workbooks, converting sheets to CSV or other formats, editing cell contents, or opening password-protected files.
